CORDLESS FRAMING NAILER

Our client has been developing the new cordless framing nailer, and they recently changed the accessories of the power tool. It has a different type of fuel, and they changed the way fuels and nails were sold to support that power tool. They validated for the product rate, validated it’s better than its prior version, better for the customer compare to the competitors.

Their concern is that contractors go to Home Depot, and they buy the nail and fuel out of their habit and just run. They don’t stop and read. So challenge is customers can’t use those old fuel in the new machine. So the client is afraid that people are not going to have the material they need.

The other big changing is now they are packaging the new fuels with the nails. So customers can't buy the fuels separately from the nails. So the client is not sure how that’s got to go either. The client has got 12 different POP display stimuli: from hang tags on the tool itself, to the interactive video that’s on the shelve, to aisle violators… The client really has one question: do customers understand that they have to buy the orange fuel? Or not as they go to buy these new machines.
