ACHIEVE ATLANTA
Throughout the broader Atlanta Public School community there seems to be a lack of belief, and no consensus around a vision for kids’ lives. Achieve Atlanta is entering at a time when there is widespread recognition that change is needed. Achieve Atlanta is a mission focused organization with the goal of helping under-privileged youth “access” the promise and benefits of a College / University education as well as increase their rate of “success” in earning their degrees and becoming the future leaders of their communities.
Achieve Atlanta is looking to hire the Plum Tree Group to design and build what will grow to become a “hub” for Achieve Atlanta to inspire, to communicate with, to recruit and to otherwise address the needs of the students, parents, academic institutions, funders and other partners all of whom all make up the vibrant community needed to support the Achieve Atlanta mission.
UX RESEARCH
Before we begin refreshing and rebuilding the Achieve Atlanta website, our team ensures that we are armed with the right information to create an experience that is true to the Achieve Atlanta, a pleasant experience for their different customers, and built with an awareness of potential future marketing initiatives. With these goals in mind, we completed the following discoveries:
Client Discovery: a deep dive into Achieve Atlanta’s past, present, and potential future within its industry; Customer Discovery: we believe that a consumer-centric focus resonates with customers more than product-centric
approaches; applying this philosophy begins with understanding who we are targeting (refer to "persona canvas"); Channel Discovery: an exploration of how users are encountering the site, in order to uncover areas of missed opportunity to reach other qualified traffic; UX Discovery: a detailed analysis of the current site to ensure we fully understand its strengths and limitations, as well as what competitors are doing (refer to "competitors analysis").
SITEMAP & WIREFRAME
We refresh Achieve Atlanta's website using the insights generated form UX research. We build sitemap to structure the website according the needs of different users. Then we designed each specific page's structure by wireframe and then finalized the user interface design. The live website now is available to visit.
